Composer & style

Toby Fox wrote the DELTARUNE story and its soundtrack himself, with Temmie Chang handling the pixel animation. The music spans chiptune, rock and sweeping orchestral pieces — with beloved tracks like Chapter 2’s viral favourite and a bigger roster of guest musicians joining in for the Chapter 5 release.

Chapter soundtracks

Each chapter adds its own album:

  • Chapters 1 & 2 — the original free releases (Chapter 2’s soundtrack arrived with the chapter on September 17, 2021).
  • Chapters 3+4 — the first paid package’s OST, with 150+ songs total across the Steam soundtrack.
  • Chapter 5 — released June 24, 2026. Track names were kept secret at launch because “track names themselves are spoilers.”

Where to listen

The Steam Soundtrack DLC is $14.99 and, per the official FAQ, is the version Toby Fox recommends — he updates it for free every time a new chapter comes out, so Chapter 5 was added at no cost to existing owners. On Bandcamp, the albums are released through Materia Collective and sold per chapter. A Game + Soundtrack bundle is also available on Steam for $35.98 — see the price guide for the full breakdown.
